After traveling around the world for 3 years and visiting over 40 countries combined, we have found a place that we can call home for awhile in Las Vegas. Being considered a local has its perks in the town that never sleeps, and there are always new adventures to be had! We have a passion to see this city be transformed from a place of distraction and escape from reality to a place of refuge, comfort and peace. The name Las Vegas means "fertile soil" which is interesting considering it is right in the middle of the desert.
The reason this blog is called "Covered in Dust" is during the first century many people would be sent out with the blessing "may you be covered in the dust of your rabbi." The idea is that followers followed so closely that they would be covered by the dust kicked up by the rabbi's feet. My prayer is that we would follow and seek and listen to Jesus so closely that we are completely covered in his dust.
